We went to Terri's folks home ii Wichita on Christmas Day evening for dinner and get together with lots of their relatives. Here is Chuck, his daughter Rebecca, and her significant other Travis. She is expecting a baby girl January 21st in Claremore.

Ken and I went to Earlene's home for Christmas Eve dinner and gift exchange. Mom Earlene is on the right, daughter Julie Robbins is in the middle, and daughter Earlinda is on the left.

Anna loves to stand by the big Christmas tree and take off a tassel ornament. She is very delicate with it and either puts it back or lays it on a table.
Grandpa is the master knob "putter-oner" person. Anna is his numero uno assistant.
Anna loves to measure also. 

James David and Anna

James played with Anna after he put in a 12-hour work day north of OKC on Sunday. Where did he get the energy? He and Anna are great with the balancing and gymnastics! First time I've seen a kid on top of a pool table. It's great! She can retrieve all of the balls. She even has her own climbing up area with two old-fashioned Coke cases turned upside down and a trunk. Her half-stick is just the right size. Hey, cousin Matthew! Better practice up on your new pool table when you get to Fort Dodge, Iowa. Maybe there's a preschool pool tournament here in the making!

Thanksgiving & 1st Snow in Illinois

Here are some pics of us at the Indiana Dunes State Park on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was beautiful and 55 degrees. The other pics are of the 1st snow at our house the following Friday. We had the day off from school and Matt had a great time playing in the yard.

This is the view from my windshield last Thursday. I drove from Stillwater to Ardmore, after classes were cancelled. I kept Mom on the phone until I got home. Thanks, Mom!

John and Lewis in the livingroom. Lewis is in Boy Scouts and his troop had a float in the Christmas parade yesterday. Their theme was "Rockin' Christmas with the USO" and Lewis did a Johnny Cash bit. They had a great time. There was an Elvis, the Beach Boys, and the Chipmunks all taking turns lip-sync-ing on the float.

Faithful and hardy are the relatives who brave 1st grade YMCA basketball season in Stillwater. We love having family come and promise to attend Anna's dance recitals... spelling bees... science fairs.. whatever, with a smile ;-)

Elizabeth Catching Up

Hello! Ah, yes.. well, I've been horribly lax in my blogging. Everyone here is well. We keep singing that country song "If we make it through December...." My finals are in two weeks and I can't tell you how ecstatic I will be on December 15th. The "Key Family in Black" is from the Sunday we joined First church. John and I are in a great Sunday School, The Fellowship class. I've dropped out of choir, at least until this semester is over.

Several of our family members came to Ardmore on the first weekend in November, to celebrate Fall and Lewis (11-14) and Colton(10-20)'s birthdays. This is a group shot of us on the pontoon boat. Brave (some might say adled) souls... it wasn't too bad until we got going fast on the lake. BBbbbbrrrrrrrrr! Mom and Dad, Nancy, James & Anna, Shawn & Sheryl (John's brother and his wife) and Malia (John's cousin and my friend), plus our crew had a great time.



I loved seeing all of those cars lined up in our muddy little yard. You can see that Anna and her grandparents had the right idea.



We will be having a Luminaria Lighting Service in our cemetery on Dec. 15th. John and Colton are down at the funeral home right now putting up the Christmas decorations. The picture is from last week in our Garden of the Good Shephard. I think that it looks beautiful with all the sparkling snow.
